A few things about Countryfest:
* Way too many people. Holy crap!
* Can't bring in our own food and drink? What gives? And $3 water?? What a moneymaker!
* Mmmmmmm... Josh Gracin... who went out into the crowd and was only 20 feet away from me... ::drool::
* Sunburned shoulder blades = ow. Sunburned shoulder blades with bug bites on them = cruel and unusual punishment
We only stayed through the first 4 acts. Well, 3 and the first 4 songs of the 4th. Even though it was overcast and slightly breezy, it was just too hot. And with a half hour between sets, yeah. Ridiculous. But I feel I got my money's worth.
The story I mentioned in the last entry is coming along nicely. Just a few hundred more words to go before I start editing. I'm really excited about this!
Speaking of being excited, I have to put in a call today to the shoe store I applied to a couple weeks ago. I could very well be gainfully employed soon! It's minimum wage (or slightly higher) work and definitely not related to teaching at all, but it will give me a paycheck and that's all that matters to me.
MB and his mom are having their usual summer party tomorrow. So much needs to be done, you have no idea. I can't wait, though. One of my dear friends from middle/high school will be there. I haven't seen her in about two years. Since before she went to Spain (I think). I can't wait!
