Our Internet has been whacky today. Hopefully I can post this with one try. In other "who cares" news, I went back to this style for the layout. I know it's not optimal, but it will suffice for now. I've been having problems with Yahoo mail (joy in the morning) so I'm back at hotmail. Wee.

MB had the day off today, which has been lovely. Sure he spent most of it running errands, but I got to have lunch with him and some needed snuggle time. He's off right now with Little Miss Goth to see a movie. Little Miss Goth is the eldest daughter of the owner of the costume shop. They need their time, since I've been getting the vibe that LMG wants to kill me. I think she's jealous (she's 15) of me. MB was hers first, in her mind, and since they've been spending more time together she's been less hostile to me.

In a brief diversion from the usual content here at Independent Ter... I was utterly disappointed with the end of the latest Project Runway. Chloe? Really? "My collection really shows of a woman's figure." Maybe if she's designing for SHAMU, but not for any women I know! Those overly poofy sleeves and the squareness and oh... it makes me queasy. I was never a Santino fan through the whole season until the final three, when they stopped at his house to see how the collection was coming. That first dress they showed:

I fell in love with this dress! It is unbelievable! I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I loved Santino's collection. He really matured and I'm very happy about that. I'd also love to have seen Daniel V. win. I adored this coat:

I started tutoring a 6th grade student yesterday. He has a heart condition, so he's missed a lot of school. He's such a cutie and teeny tiny. We'll meet twice a week -- Tuesdays and Thursdays -- after school. I'm in for 4 sessions right now, but he owes about 18 hours, so we'll see where it goes from there.

I figured out that since the beginning of the school year, I have subbed 43 days. I started in the beginning of October. That's pretty impressive, I think. I've been averaging 4 days a week. This is an unusual week for me, since I didn't work today or Wednesday. I've predominately been at one school district even though I'm on staff at two. And at that district, I've been mostly in the middle school. I've been courting them, since I'd love to work there, and I think it's starting to be mutual. That's the school I'm tutoring at. I have 5 applications out right now and am scheduled for a Teacher Recruitment Day on the 20th. There is something out there for me, I just need to find it.

One of the reasons I'm getting antsy is because MB said the reason we can't move out yet is because I don't have a decent job and he can't support us on his salary. Way to boost my ego and esteem, but it's the dirty truth. And I haven't been saving like I should (bad Ter!) so we really are stuck here. ARGH! But something's coming for me, I just know it.
