I wrote this during my down time observing because I had that awful YA class last night (and again today, bah). Unfortunately, I was talking with MB last night after class and completely forgot to update this thing, and have fallen victim to pulling a Me once again. Oops.

I'm really dragging ass this week. I'm mentally and physically exhausted. I think I'll take most of Sunday off (can't skip out on Halloween!) and lay around in my jammies. (Note: I probably won't be taking any time off since the house is officially ours now!) I'm so exhausted, I vividly daydream about curling up in MB's arms and drifting off. I'm at the point where I lose my train of thought, and then forget what I was talking about. When I leave school this afternoon, I'm so going to the coffee house for a double mocha. Maybe I'll even tell whoever makes it to make it extra strong. Anything to keep my head up. (Note: I did get a double mocha -- so yummy! -- and during our break I went to the vending machine and got a can of Dr Pepper, so needless to say I was flying last night. That was the first time in about 2-3 weeks I felt really awake. It was almost scary.)

Despite the overwhelming exhaustion, I'm loving loving loving! observing!. Like I told Mom the other day, this is definitely what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm definitely on the right path in life. I wasn't 100% convinced when I applied to grad school, but I am now. And since this summer, I'm sold on curriculum development. New plan: teach for 10-15 years, get a feel for what works and what doesn't, then go back to school and get whatever degree is necessary to go into curriculum development. I noticed this summer when writing lesson plans and designing my unit plan that I was more excited coming up with and planning them than I was presenting them. I'm alway coming up with things for Mom's students to do. A commonly heard question in our house is, "Why couldn't you try this?" Mom's going to work in to one of her classes the lesson I wrote for my health class. This excites me to no end!

Who'd have thought that the girl who was mediocre in high school English and counted down the seconds until graduation would ever end up here?

Excited but tired (Note: but not really right now),

Thanks for reading,

Ter
