Yeah, another during-the-week entry because I flitted off to see MB again. I swear I had every intention of updating from his apartment, but then he loaded Sims 2 and suddently I found myself installing a hot tub and picking out doors and such. I'm so very sorry.
When I got home last night, Mom "suggested" that I fill out a substitute application for the school where she works. Instead of saying, "I'll do it later" or making up some other excuse, I found myself sitting at the table trying to remember addresses of past employers (all 2 of them) and grousing at the fact that I needed to get one of the pages notorized.
What really got my to fill the application out was this key phrase "You'll get paid." After I dropped it off with Mom, I went to the coffee house to get a cappuccino. $2.76 later (highway robbery, I tell ya!) I tried to remember where all my money went this weekend. $30 for gas, $20 to go on a haunted hayride, and $2 and some odd change to chip in for tolls. Eesh. No wonder I only had $10 left in my wallet. Doesn't take long to drop a few dollars. So I really hope the school board (who's meeting tonight, hence Mom's insistence that I fill the application out last night) passes me so I can start working ASAP. I need some dollars!
Meanwhile, I'm all itchy. MB's cat brought a raging case of fleas home from the vet, infecting the dogs as well, and now, apparently, me. My legs itch, my back is covered, I even have one on my hand. And either my head itches just from thinking about it or they got there too. Either way, I'm rather uncomfortable today. Thanks, Little Shit (the cat).
I guess this is his revenge on me. See, while I was at MB's Mom's, MB gave Little Shit a flea bath. Since he knows that MB's Mom and MB are "The Enemy" and I'm relatively neutral, the cat allowed me to hold him and bring him in to his certain demise. Even though I tricked him, Little Shit apparently forgave me and snuggled up at every chance he got. And now I itch. Great.
Trying not to scratch,
Thanks for reading,
Ter
