I'm definitely feeling better than I was last entry. I think I was trying to catch up so much it wore me out. No worries, I have recovered!

Most of my week was spent doing more than I usually do when I'm on break. My room received a thorough cleaning and re-organinzing. Daddy's on a mission to find me a full bed and I need to start minimalizing -- again. I'm such a packrat! Took out a lot of stuff -- mostly to be stored for later -- and I still have a lot of stuff packed into my room. I'm starting my library and I have no room to store all my books. 2 wall shelves full, one shelf and a half of one book case and all but the top shelf of another. Sounds unbelievable, but the book cases are very small. Such is the dilemma of a soon-to-be English teacher.

Easter was relatively quiet, for my family. Only TL and her family came since TG is in Florida and TF is in South Carolina. There wasn't the usual gratuitous laughter and story telling that happens when we're all together. There's just something about the atmosphere in the house when us girls are in the kitchen with mom, picking on each other, helping out, sharing stories (more my sisters than me due to the age gap). It's usually like that on holidays at my house.

I surprised myself at how tolerant I was of TL's husband. He's been such a source of constant stress as of late. Talking with him over dinner, I didn't want to beat him severely with a rusty pipe about the head and shoulders. It's like I forgot what he's done to his family (and ours). It happens sometimes. Maybe I'm tired of disliking him. I have no idea.

On the bright side, yesterday was my birthday. And, in what seems to be the new trend, hardly anyone remembered. When I was younger, I'd have cards a week in advance. Not so much any more. I guess I was spoiled before. It's just a shock, is all. It was a good day at any rate. Gorgeous day -- sunny, clear sky -- and had a nice dinner with my parents. We tried out this restaurant that we'd known about for years but never bothered to go to. TL has been there, back before the current management, and said it was a great place, so we gave it a whirl. It was on the price-y side, meaning it's a good thing that my birthday only comes once a year, but so very, very worth it. I had chicken picata and it was unbelievable! I wish there was a way to post here how great it tasted, since words aren't accurate enough. I brought the rest of it home to have today for lunch (yummy!). Best of all, my PFE class was cancelled, so I had an early start not only to my birthday celebration but to my weekend as well. Present-wise, my parents are the only ones to have given me anything (I know L will have something for me next week when she comes home). When I was 13, my parents gave me a diamond ring and a few years ago, the stone fell out and we never got around to getting it fixed. Mom's been shopping it around to jewelers as of late to get it fixed for me, so that's my present. In my card she wrote "I.O.U. one ring", or something like that.

And I may as well toss this out there -- I'm now 23.

And now the (former) birthday girl has to work on some reading, get at least one paper started, and start studying for the LAST. Exciting, eh?

Happy weekend!

Thanks for reading,

Ter
