Is it Friday yet??
This has been such a long week! The midterm I gave up my vacation for was something else. We had options -- Option A: 24 multiple guess and 3 short essays, and Option B: one long essay and 2 short essays. I went for Option A after scanning the long essay. The short ones I could handle, didn't have to fluff for too long. The long one would have been a disaster had I attempted it.
Beth, who I've known since my Civil War class 30 billion semesters ago (Fall '02? I don't know), said to me right before the professor passed the exams out, "You know besides this midterm, our only other grade in this class is the final." No pressure now, eh? I wanted to smack her! That's not the kind of news one likes to hear right before taking a test one has been freaking out about for 2 weeks. But it's over with. I have my Shakespeare midterm on Tuesday, but it's open book so I'm not worried.
My plan for the weekend is to power read. I've got myself a bit behind and knowing my ability to put off until later what I could have done yesterday, I'll never catch up if I don't make myself do it. Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake. I've been so paranoid about the PFE midterm that I haven't slept well at all. I've only been up for 4 hours, more or less. It still feels like the semester just started, and here I am smack dab in the middle of it and rolling at a quick clip toward finals. 9 weeks until finals week, this is week 8. I'll just be the Little Spazztastic Engine That Could.
