Good morning!
Yesterday I had the biggest feeling of accomplishment. I guess it started on Sunday with the wallpaper. I decided, since the race had run the night before, to attack my wall again. I had happily ignored it until MB kept whining that he hated how it looked, all unfinished. So I used this wallpaper goo MB bought and attacked the last bit behind the fridge with all the vim and vigor I could muster. Have to say that it looks pretty darn good, for now. At least the wallpaper and the wall color under the old wallpaper coordinate some. The next thing is to put up the last bit in that section and finish the border. MB's hoping for it to be done before poker night on Saturday. We'll see.
This little act of domesticity started with a cleaning frenzy. I attacked the dishes, save a gross pan I can't seem to scrub clean, and cleaned off the table. I took out trash, returned bottles and cans (5 months worth = $7.75, yow!). I organized end tables and capped my day with the wallpaper. I'm nesting and it's nice.
Today is pretty much second verse, same as the first. I'm going to get as much grading as I can done this morning, then hi-ho-hi-ho off to work I go. I'll be dining alone since MB is at Home Desperate tonight. All of the birthday cards from my sisters arrived yesterday, the one from TB and crew holding ten scratch offs that I won a whopping $1 with. I'll try not to spend it in one place. I'm also going to take advantage of the fact that I drive by five Dunkin Donuts to get to work and they're having a free-donut-with-coffee promo today, in honor of my birthday tax day. I don't think I'll stop at every single one, but I'll definitely pick one.
Now to do a quick grade session so I can EQII before I absolutely have to pull myself away from the idiot box and get ready to be an adult for a few hours.
