Happy Easter!
I should be finished brunch with Mom C right now, but I opted to sleep in instead. I've also had my cell off since yesterday afternoon and haven't bothered to turn it on yet. I am probably the worst person ever, but darn it, I was tired!
Plus, still haven't graded yet. Bad English teacher!
Last night MB and I went to his former co-worker C's for a poker night. Hefty buy-in plus we had to pay for pizza (the hell?) but it was worth it. MB swept the whole thing... eventually. We didn't leave until 1 a.m., which sucked a whole lot as neither of us intended on staying out so late. MB finally got his opponent to concede that it was getting late and call it a night but by then it was almost 1. Grah!
Bet MB's at his second job right now guzzling Pepsi and cursing being so tired.
Meanwhile, I'm going to meet him up at the farm tonight with a bunch of laundry and do some massive groveling to Mom C for standing her up today. Easter ambushed me and, really, I'm just not into it this year. I guess this is the point in my life when I've gotten too old for it, or something.
Also, today's my youngest nephew's 18th birthday. KL and I have never really been all that close, but he's never been off my radar since he was born. He's the hunter, hockey, 4-wheeler type, and I'm so not. I've tried for the last 18 years to find some common ground and all I can come up with is genetics (mostly). Nevertheless, I'm over the moon that he's 18 today. And tomorrow is Brittsie Cat's 18th. Doubly blessed, I am. Happy birthday, KL and Brittsie Cat. Love ya!
