**I wrote this during one of the math classes I was subbing for today. No, I wasn't neglecting them. Their teacher left math problems and since I can't get past long division or the occasional algebraic equation, I was useless to them. So, enjoy!**

I have never been happier that it's finally Friday. It's been a rough week. Between my Monday/Wednesday class being light on intelligence and having a roaring headache that's tapered down to a determined mew, I'm spent! I still have a lot to do for next week but isn't that what Sundays are for? Besides the race, I mean.

Now that we've got our own place, I 'm back in NASCAR mode. I never felt right watching at Mom C's house. She and MB don't understand how I can spend a whole afternoon watching 43 cars turn left at 180+ mph. Objectively, I don't get it either. Subjectively, all golf is is chasing a little white ball. In football, a bunch of heavily padded guys run a few feet after a ball, fall down and do it again. Basketball, guys bounce a ball and run back and forth, occasionally throwing it in a hoop. Soccer, guys run back and forth kicking a ball. They all sound idiotic when put in those terms, but when you add in prowess, agility, decision making, stamina, and the like, each takes on a whole new perspective.

Tomorrow MB and I are hosting our monthly poker night. Texas Hold 'Em, $10 buy in, winnings divided between the top three. I've never made it to top five, let alone top three. I'm optimistic this time. We might get a small turn out, which means a smaller pot, but I stand a better shot at winning my ten bucks back.

Before that, though, MB has promised me a smash bang good time at the state museum. Not only is it free entertainment, save food and the inevitable souvenir or two, it's something we've wanted to do for a while. We're surrounded by so much awesome culture and history, and we never take advantage of it. While most people go see movies or become mall rats -- and we do that too, don't get me wrong -- we enjoy some of the artsy fartsy stuff. We've even talked about taking our kids to museums and historical landmarks to keep their education going (jumping the gun, yes, but we feel it's necessary to plan ahead). I really can't wait; I haven't been to the state museum since I was in middle school.

Tonight, however, is going to be a labor of love so that we can do all we want to on Saturday and not feel rushed. It'll be a domestic romp in which we'll do a massive face lift on the three main rooms (well, four with the bathroom) to make it look less like we're squatters and incapable of taking care of ourselves. I worry for Tenae, whose fragilie little world is going to be turned upside down as we sweep, mop, and take away her laundry nests. It's a very good, if not guaranteed, possibility that we won't see her for most of Saturday, which is why I'll try to obscure most of her hidey holes so she'll be forced to socialize. We finally have her to where she will be social for most of the morning. Hopefully this won't set her back.

Off to be Suzie Homemaker,

Thanks for reading,

Ter
